Present Ascendants acknowledges the First Peoples of every Place in which we work. We honour their enduring custodianship, knowledge systems, languages and cultures, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We recognise that every community holds its own stories, responsibilities and relationships with Country, and we commit to walking with respect, humility and reciprocity.
Ascendance Through Presence
Present Ascendants was founded to preserve and advance cultural continuity through artistic practice, education, and community engagement. We recognise every person as a Present Ascendant—one who inherits the knowledge of those who came before, acts with responsibility in the present, and helps carry culture, relationships, and wisdom forward for future generations.
